William J. Harzula

Middlesex, William J. Harzula 68, died Saturday February 20, 2016 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.  William was born in Plainfield, raised in South Plainfield and lived in North Plainfield before moving to Middlesex in 1988.  He was a retired Data Center Manager of UNICEF of New York City and continued working as a Baker for Wegmans of Bridgewater.  Will served in the United States Army 1968-1971.  He was a member of St. Joseph RC Church in North Plainfield, the Washington Valley Game Association and the Harley Owners Group (Hog).  Surviving is his wife Rene Scanlan Harzula, a son Will and wife Susana Harzula of Middlesex, a daughter Mindy and husband Spencer Durkin of Middlesex.  Also surviving is a brother Richard Harzula of South Plainfield, 2 sisters, Donna Ledford of NC., Patricia Coates of Bernardsville, and 4 grandchildren Bella, Spencer-Kate, Piper and Willy.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass 10 AM Thursday at St. Joseph RC Church, Jackson Ave in North Plainfield.  Burial will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park 95 Mt. Airy Rd, Basking Ridge.  Visitation will be Wednesday 3 to 7pm at St. Joseph RC Church.  Arrangements are by the Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home of North Plainfield.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Parish Center, 99 Westervelt Avenue, North Plainfield, NJ 07060.
