Vincent Dominick Tufaro Jr.

Vincent passed away Monday October 23, 2017 peacefully in the house he built in Forked River, NJ, surrounded by his family and friends and loving wife of 61 years Maria, after a long battle with Alzheimers.  Vincent worked for PSEG as a serviceman for 29 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling and softball.  He was an active member of St. Luke’s RC Church, Holy Name Society and worked their bingo games.  He was predeceased by his granddaughter Nicole Tufaro in 1989.  Surviving is his wife Maria (Colaiacovo) Tufaro his daughter Frances and husband Joseph Graham of Colonia, three sons, Anthony and wife Jackie Tufaro of Bethlehem Township, NJ,  Vincent III and wife Dolly Tufaro of Forked River and Stephen and wife MaryJo Tufaro of Milford NJ.  Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph and Michael Tufaro, and a sister Nancy Peterson, and six grandchildren, Veronica, Amanda, Danielle, Steven, Anthony and Christina.  Services will start Thursday 9:00 am from Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Luke’s RC Church, Clinton Avenue, North Plainfield.  Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.  Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-8 pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:  Alzheimer’s, 400 Morris Avenue, suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or Barnabas Health Home Care Hospice, NNA Health Group of NJ.
