Susan Passe

Susan Passe, 71, of North Plainfield, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025 with her son Michael by her side. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister who touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness and warmth.

Born to Dorothy Cooper, Susan was a compassionate and caring woman whose greatest joy was her family. She was the beloved mother of Mike Passe and a proud, loving grandmother to Jordan Jade Passe and Raven Rose Passe, whom she adored. Susan is survived by her siblings, Patricia Berardi, Carolyn Schmal, and Richard Cooper. Susan was predeceased by late husband Dennis Passe of 46 years, father Richard Cooper, Brother James Cooper and son Matthew David Passe. 

Susan will be remembered for her incredible resilience, generous spirit, unwavering love, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, February 25th from 4-8pm in Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 26th at 11am in the funeral home. 

Private cremation will follow. Inurnment of cremated remains in Somerset Hills Cemetery will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made on Susan’s behalf to the Plainfield Area Humane Society in honor of her deep love for dogs.
