Shontell Devona Williams

Shontell Devona Williams, 45 was born on February 8, 1979 in Paterson, NJ.  Shontell transitioned the morning of Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

Shontell grew up in New Brunswick, NJ where she attended Redshaw Elementary School and graduated from New Brunswick High School. Shontell continued her education at Montclair University where she received a Bachelor's degree in health education and a Master's Degree in Counseling.

Shontell enjoyed working in higher education. She worked at Middlesex County College as a Financial-Aid Advisor for many years and most recently at Union County College, where she was an adjunct Professor and taught Psychology.

Shontell is predeceased by her mother, Carolyn V. Williams and her nephew, Terrence T. Johnson.

Shontell leaves to cherish her memory, her father Eugene Williams of NJ, Brothers; Anthony L. Williams (Kathy) of PA, Altariq Johnson and Michael Johnson of NC, Sisters; Monica R. Williams-Jackson of NJ, Nicole Green of NJ, Sabrina Green of VA, Nephews; Jordan J. Jackson and Avery G. Williams, Nieces; Ashley L. Williams and Makiya Booth, Great nephew; Tariq Finney, her furry friend, Coconut and a host of family and friends.

Special friends: Raheem Hardy, Rocquis Rogers, Theus Erving, and Schnika Johnson.
