Raymond Del Vecchio of North Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on July 31, 1940, in Plainfield, New Jersey. Raymond pursued his passion for music at the New York College of Music, graduating in 1964.

 A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Raymond was married to his beloved wife, Rose Marie Del Vecchio, for 60 years. He was a loving father to Justina Kwapy, Raymond Del Vecchio Jr., Christopher Del Vecchio, Darryl Del Vecchio, and Justin Del Vecchio, and a cherished grandfather to Nicholas Kwapy, Amber Kwapy, and Alyssa Kwapy. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Del Vecchio, and his wife, Cora Del Vecchio, along with many dear friends and extended family members.

 Raymond was a hardworking and dedicated man who built a career as a self-employed piano instructor, tuner, and professional jazz and concert pianist. He was known for his deep love of jazz and his passion for performing. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and the music that brought him joy.

 Though he never sought attention, Raymond’s wisdom, kindness, and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His love for music and the arts was something he proudly shared with his children, ensuring that his legacy would live on through them.

 In his free time, Raymond enjoyed teaching piano, performing, and watching football. His unwavering dedication to his craft and family will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

 Family and friends are welcome to visit on Sunday, March 9th from 3-7pm in Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Pl, North Plainfield, NJ 07060.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11th, 9:30am in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, North Plainfield.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, a cause that was close to Raymond’s heart.

 We take comfort in knowing that his legacy endures through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the cherished memories we hold dear.
