Marta Morales
January 30, 1951 — June 5, 2016
Marta Morales 65 years old passed away on Sunday June 5, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Marta resided primarily for 30 years in Plainfield before settling in North Plainfield. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Plainfield. Marta worked as an assembler for Dranetz Technologies of Edison, NJ for approximately 20 years before retiring in 2013 from Mechoshade. She loved cooking, movies and music and was an avid collector of figurines and porcelain dolls. Her true love was her family and never missed any occasion for them. Marta is survived by her husband of 44 years Luis A. Morales, two sons Luis A. Morales, Jr. of Plainfield and Ivan Morales of Piscataway. She is also a loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Carlos Reyes of Puerto Rico and Gilbert Rodriquez of Indiana. Marta is predeceased by her brother the late Luis Rodriguez. Also surviving are four nieces and four nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 8, from 5pm – 9pm at Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield. Services will start Thursday, June 9 at 9:00am at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00am Mass at St. Mary’s RC Church in Plainfield, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
