Marion D. Parisi, 88, died Monday October 2, 2017 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit. Mrs. Parisi was born and raised in Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield in 1961. She was a Communicant of St. Luke’s RC Church in North Plainfield and a member of the Choir Group of St. Luke’s. She also was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Precious Blood of Jesus Prayer Group. Marion enjoyed all family gatherings and family vacations at Seaside Park. She took great enjoyment in decorating her home inside and outside with many ornaments celebrating Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick, 4th of July etc. She was predeceased by her husband Patsy Parisi in 2015 and a grandson Patrick Parisi, Jr. in 2011. Surviving are three sons, Patrick and wife Margaret Parisi of Mantoloking, Thomas and wife Ellen Parisi of Hackettstown and Christopher Parisi of North Plainfield and a daughter Donna Parisi at home. Also surviving is a brother William Pope of PA, two sisters, Ginger Wade of Bordentown NJ and Stasia Konick of Waretown NJ, four grandchildren, Heather, Kaitlin, Brendan and Trevor and one great granddaughter Lilly. Services will start Monday 9:00 am from Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Luke’s RC Church, Clinton Ave, North Plainfield. Burial will take place in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
