Luz Mariela Muneral Palacio, 60, of North Plainfield passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Born in Belen De Umbria Risaralda, Colombia, she immigrated to the United States 10 years ago. She is the beloved daughter of Rubiela Palacio. Cherished mother of Danny Hurtado (Jessica) and Gina Jimenez (John). Loved grandmother of Simon Hurtado and Melany Jimenez. Dear sister of Lucy Munera, Margoth Munera, Aleida Munera, Milena Palacio, Jaime Palacio and Roberto Munera. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In her spare time, Luz loved to cook, travel, and enjoyed casino and bingo games. But what she loved most was to spend time with her family.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, 5-8pm in Scarpa Las-Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place North Plainfield, NJ 07060.

Funeral service from the funeral home will be on Saturday, 8:30am followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Chruch, Elizabeth.

Cremation will follow at 11:30am in Rosadale Rosehill Cemetery & Crematory, Linden.

Luz Mariela Muneral Palacio Es la amada hija de Rubiela Munera (Palacio). Querida madre de Danny Hurtado (Jessica) y Gina Jiménez (John). Querida abuela de Simón Hurtado y Melany Jiménez. Querida hermana de Lucy Munera, Margoth Munera, Aleida Munera, Milena Palacio, Jaime Palacio y Roberto Munera. También le sobreviven muchos sobrinos y sobrinas amorosos. En su tiempo libre, a Luz le encantaba cocinar, viajar y disfrutar de los juegos de casino y bingo. Pero lo que más amaba era pasar tiempo con su familia.

Familiares y amigos pueden visitarnos el viernes de 5 a 8 p. m. en Scarpa Las-Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place North Plainfield, Nueva Jersey 07060.

El funeral desde la funeraria será el sábado a las 8:30 a. m., seguido de una misa de entierro cristiano a las 10 a. m. en la iglesia de San Antonio de Padua, Elizabeth.

La cremación seguirá a las 11:30 a. m. en el cementerio y crematorio Rosadale Rosehill, Linden.
