Lucia Macalle

Lucia Macalle, 81, of Westfield, NJ passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ on April 10th, 2021. Lucia and her late husband Rocco were the proprietors of Rocky the Tailor in Westfield, NJ for over 40 years. She truly enjoyed cooking and trips to Atlantic City to play the slots. Born in Bedda Littoria Libya in 1939, after living in Italy in her early years she migrated to the U.S. in 1958. Lucia was predeceased by her loving husband Rocco and son Michael Macalle and her sister Yolando Grasso. Surviving are her two sons Giovanni Macalle of Westfield and Galliano Macalle (wife Virginia) of College Station, Texas, three sisters Maria DiMarco of Budd Lake, NJ, Joanne Forcella of East Hanover, NJ, and Lea Trautvetter of Parsippany, NJ.  Also surviving are two grandchildren Michelle and Danielle, and many nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be at Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, NJ on Thursday April 15th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity RC Church in Westfield on Friday morning at 10:00 am.
