John "Giovanni" Colaiacovo Sr.

John Colaiacovo Sr. 89, died June 26, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  John came to the US in 1948 and lived in North Plainfield for 71 years.  He was a Barber for 64 years and still working at his John’s Barber Shop located in North Plainfield.  He was predeceased by his wife Theresa in 2017.  Surviving are one son John Jr. and wife Kimberly and one daughter Jacqueline and husband David D’Amore.  One sister Maria Tufaro and 8 grandchildren.  A private viewing will take place at Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, in North Plainfield.  Funeral Mass at St. Joseph RC Church in North Plainfield and burial at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
