Gertrude D. Muglia

MIDDLESEX - Gertrude DeAngelis Muglia 97, died Monday April 8, 2024 at RW] Somerset in Somerville. Mrs. Muglia was born and raised in North Plainfield before moving to Middlesex in 1981. Gertrude did volunteer work for 19 years at Muhlenberg Hospital formally of Plainfield. She attended St. Joseph and St. Luke's RC Church of North Plainfield.

Gertrude is predeceased by her husband John J. Muglia (former Fire Chief) of N. Plainfield who passed away in 1994 and a granddaughter the late Cheryl L. Schneck in 1985, son in law Richard Schenck in 2018, daughter in law Cathy Muglia 1996 and her brother Mario Marty De Angelis.

Surviving is daughter Joan M. Schenck of Toms River, son John J. Muglia Jr. and wife Nancy Muglia of Becket, Massachusetts. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Richard, John III and Lisa, 6- Great-Grandchildren, John IV, Gianna, Mat-thew, Alexa, Richard I and Taylor, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Addison and Jackson.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday April 12 from 2-6PM at the Scarpa - Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Pl, North Plainfield, NJ 07060.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday April 13th at 10AM, Scarpa Las Rosas FH 22 Craig PI, N. Plainfield. Doors will be open at 9AM. An Entombment will follow at Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in South Plainfield.
