Franklin Delano Roosevelt Riccardi, 91, of North Plainfield passed away peacefully September 14, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Franklin was born on April 5, 1933. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. Shortly after returning home, he worked for Asplundh Tree Experts. Years later he established Riccardi Tree Service and has been an established business owner for the past 50 years. His passion's in life were working in the tree business, playing cards, watching football and baseball. He loved the Mets but above all he loved his family. Our father was always the life of the party, he was funny, charismatic and everyone who knew him loved him.
He is survived by his former wife, Jean Riccardi, and his loving daughter Lisa Jean Pantaleo, four sons, Mark Riccardi, Frank Riccardi, Glenn Riccardi and Randy Riccardi and his wife Heidi. Loving grandchildren, Kim, Corey, Alyssa, Taylor, Alexa (Anthony), Dominic, Lacie and Christian. Beloved great grandchildren, Case, Ada, Leonardo and Reese.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, September 30th from 4-7pm in Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1st in the Church of the Sacred Heart, South Plainfield at 11:30am.
Private cremation will follow.
Professional arrangements are under the direction and supervision of Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, 12 Craig Place North Plainfield.
