Fiore J Ciarfello

Fiore J. Ciarfello (Fritz), 94, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Mr. Ciarfello resided in Plainfield for 64 years, then in Bedminster for 28 years, prior to moving to Florida in 2019. A graduate of Plainfield High School and a US Navy Veteran, Fritz was a plumber and builder prior to his ownership of Budget Rent-A-Car in Plainfield, New Jersey.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, as well as his love of golf and longstanding membership at Twin Brooks Country Club.  A member of the North Plainfield Lions Club for 58 years, he served in may leadership roles locally and was Deputy District Governor for Lions International District 16D.  Fiore is pre-deceased by his wife of 61 years, Rhoda M. Ciarfello, and his sister, Loretta Locke.  Surviving are his sisters Regina Strasko and Frances Gauthier, and his brother Charles Ciarfello Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Friday February 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the St. Brigid RC Church, 129 Main Street, Peapack, NJ 07977.  Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the North Plainfield Lions Club c/o Andrew Patykula, Secretary, 206 Old Turnpike Road, Califon, NJ 07830.  Arrangements are by Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, North Plainfield, NJ.
