Eugene Louis Sanpore

North Plainfield – Eugene Louis Sanpore, 66, died Friday November 5th, 2021 at home. Eugene was born in Hoboken, before moving to North Plainfield in 1962. He worked 40 years as a licensed boiler operator for Muhlenberg and JFK hospitals. After graduating from NPHS he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Eugene had a passion for antique cars. He helped friends and neighbors in need of repairs.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lena Sanpore and a brother John Sanpore. Surviving are several cousins, childhood friends, coworkers and neighbors.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home located at 22 Craig Place in North Plainfield. On Thursday, family and friends will go directly to St. Joseph RC Church on Jackson Avenue, North Plainfield for a 10:00 am mass followed by a private burial at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
