Eugene Pendolino, 84 died March 24, 2017 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA. Mr. Pendolino was born in Plainfield in 1932 before moving to Nazareth, PA. Eugene resided in South Plainfield for approximately 20 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Eugene was also a longtime member of the American Legion Chaumont Post 243 in South Plainfield. Mr. Pendolino was the owner of Garden State Tree Services of Plainfield known for ceremonious cutting of the Joyce Kilmer Tree on September 18, 1963 at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Eugene also enjoyed gardening. Eugene is predeceased by his wife Marguriette Pendolino (Tramantano) 2004, sisters Rose Pendolino, Kathryn Romanowicz, Anne Wilson and his brother Alexander Pendolino. Eugene is survived by his daughter Michele Marcussen and her husband Charles of Pen Argyl, PA, sisters Frances Rossi of Greenbrook, Jean Beck of Piscataway and Marian Celentano of Edison and two grandchildren Alissandra and Gina. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be Wednesday April 5 from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield. Cremation services will be private.
