Carlo Riello

Carlo Riello 82, died Monday Oct. 31, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson at Somerset in Somerville.  Mr. Riello was born and raised in Castel di Sasso Caserta Italy before moving to Plainfield in 1955, He was a retired builder working for C&S Builders of Plainfield.  Carlo enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his garden, making wine but most of all being with his family enjoying homemade food.  He was a member of the New North Plainfield Italian American Club and a Communicant of St. Bernards-St. Stanislaus Church in Plainfield.  Devoted to his wife of 58 years Antonia Ragozzino Riello, a son Matteo and wife Dawn Riello of Ewing, a daughter Maria and husband Ken Krawsek of Branchburg, 3 brothers, Stefano of No. Plainfield, Vincenzo of Branchburg and Antonio Riello of No. Plainfield and a sister Lucia Simeone of Plainfield.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel, Andrew and Gregory.  Services will start 9 AM Saturday from Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Bernards-St. Stanislaus Church on George St. Plainfield. Entombment will take place at Somerset Hills Mausoleum in Basking Ridge. Visiting hours are Friday 5 to 9 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Bernards-St. Stanislaus Church or the Leukemia Foundation.
