Arline M. Sheats

Arline M. Sheats 82 of Middlesex, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at RWJ Somerset Hospital.  Arline was a resident of Middlesex since 1973. She was preceded by her parents John and Mary C. Mamrak - Lacko, and recently her most beloved husband of 51 years, in May of this year Douglas N. Sheats.

Arline graduated from Middlesex Vocational High School and worked as a Hair Stylist for over 30 years at various Salons in NJ as well as well as providing the handicapped and Sr. Citizens, who were unable to get around, hair grooming services privately in their homes. After her retirement from stylist, Arline worked for Dunkin Donuts in Middlesex, Piscataway and Bound Brook, as a Manager.  She was an avid puzzle person doing the puzzles as a hobby in her spare time, along with knitting and crocheting for family and friends.

Surviving is a son, Christopher Sheats of Boiling Springs, SC, step-daughter Dawn Towers and step-granddaughter Brittany, and her brothers, John Lacko, Matthew Lacko, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Jackson, NJ, and Ronald Lacko of Perth Amboy, NJ, also her dearest and closest friend for over 40 years, Karole Lechowski of Bridgewater, NJ.

Visitation will take place Sunday January 8, 2023 from 2PM - 4PM and on Monday January 9, from 10AM – 12 noon at Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, NJ. Burial will follow 2PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ where Arline will be laid to rest forever with her husband Douglas.
