Angelina Scapiliati

Angelina (Savio) Scapiliati - age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 14, 2018 in Princeton, NJ. Born in 1926, Angie was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield and Dunellen, NJ.  A fashion plate of a lady with a great sense of humor and a bright smile. Angie had an impeccable work ethic and was a secretary at various companies for over 35 yrs, 18 of those working for the president of Tenneco Chemical. Angie's passion in life was dancing and clothes shopping. She enjoyed roaming around town with her dear friend Monica. Predeceased by her mother Marietta Trimboli and father Alfred Savio, husband John Scapiliati, sister Rosalie Savio Torre, brother Alfred Savio and two very good friends Sadie and Dottie.  Angie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Rick Ferdinando of Flemington, NJ and her nieces Joanne Simpson of Lawrenceville, NJ; Linda Durkin (Jeff) of Walnut Creek, CA, Mary Jane Thomas of Flemington, NJ, nephews Dr. Joseph Torre (Elise), Dr. Fred Savio (Heather), and Michael Savio (Tina), and multiple great nieces and nephews.

Angie will be sadly missed by her great, great nieces and nephews who brought much happiness and laughter into her life. Visitation will be on Saturday August 18 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Scarpa-Las Rosas FH, 22 Craig Place, N. Plainfield. Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 noon, St. Joseph RC Church, corner of Jackson and Watchung Avenue, N. Plainfield. A private cremation will follow.
